Halloween is now over, so Christmas is officially in full swing right?! And who says holidays says cute holiday manis am I right?!
Unless it's a special occasion such as Christmas or New Years where sparkles and glitter are acceptable, it's safe to say that up to now, everyone in Montreal got pretty boring manis. However, I've recently noticed that more and more people get nail art done on their manicures. If you've been following me on Instagram (@katiecung) you know that I've been obsessed with getting nail art done ever since I discovered Atelier Gabrielle Nails back in February. Let's just say I've been totally hooked and haven't stopped since then.
In this blogpost, I'll be sharing with you guys my top 5 nail salons that offer nail art (and that do it extremely well) in Montreal.
1. Atelier Gabrielle Nails (@gabrielle.nails)
This girl is literally a nail GODDESS! She can make any designs you can dream of, from intricate drawings to foils to marble nails, you name it! Gabrielle is not only an amazingly talented 23-year-old, she is also the sweetest human being. She's done Olivia Munn's nails (!!!) and many local influencers' nails such as Nalie Agustin (@nalieagustin) and Samantha Cutler (@thefitfatale). She also only used Akzentz and Luxio, which are the highest quality gels out there. After getting my nails done with her once, I've noticed a huge difference in my natural nails as they were the strongest they've ever been even without the gel. Gabrielle's currently in the process of changing locations and hiring her own team so book her a soon as you can!
2. L'Atelier Vieux-Montreal (@lateliervieuxmontreal)
L'Atelier is kind of that place that feels like home away from home. Their team is the absolute sweetest and always tries to accommodate you so you feel extra comfortable. I've recently gotten my nails done with Stephanie at L'Atelier (@stephanails_montreal) and I've gotten so many compliments on my mani! She has over 10 years of experience doing freelance nail art in the south of France. She specializes in nail art and gel extensions so make sure to hit her up for that!
3. Mico Nails (@mico.nail2014)
Mico is a Japanese freelance nail artist that specializes in Japanese gel nail art and eyelash extensions. She does my friend Tiffany's (@lai_tiffany) nails and her designs always blow me away! She's done extremely intricate designs such as Mondrian abstract inspired nails and cheetah print nails. If you're in for a full pampering day, she also offers eyelash extension services! She works really well with almond shaped/asian eyes and makes the lashes look super natural and full.
4. Nails by Ellie Khatamsaz (@nails_byelliek)
Ellie is a nail artist that does Biosculpture which strengthens and promotes the growth of natural nails. She does both natural manicures and amazing nail art such as foils, marbles and sprinkles donut inspired art! Yes, donut nails!! Ellie also does many local influencers' nails such as my friend Abla (@itsabla) and Ariane Tonka (@arianetonka)
5. Le Manoir (@lemanoir)
Everyone and their mother goes to Le Manoir. It's probably one of the first places that I know of that started doing nail art in Montreal. Not only is their shop aesthetically pleasing, but the team is extremely talented and creative there. They're your not-so-typical cool girl crew and I love their vibe. This place is worth the detour if you're not from the downtown Montreal area because you can get your nails done while shopping their amazing clothes such as exclusive collections with the all-time babe Julia Mateian (@juliamateian).
