Who else had the tacky New Year's resolution of getting fit this year? Like every other year, this is a goal I try to achieve, at least, that's what I tell myself. Last year was particularly hard for me on that front, as I didn't care much about what I was eating and definitely did not work out all that much.
I've been really proud of my accomplishments so far this year (and it's only February!) and wanted to share my tips and tricks on how I kept a healthy lifestyle for the past couple of months. It's definitely nothing revolutionary, but if it worked for me, hopefully it can help you too!
Since January, I've been spinning at SPINCO Montreal twice a week. For someone that used to hate and NEVER do cardio, trust me, this is life changing. I never thought I would be a cardio kind of girl, let alone a spinning girl. I've done spinning twice before SPINCO and I honestly didn't like it. It hurt my butt for days. From my first time at SPINCO with instructor Victoria Wiseman, I felt inspired, strong and empowered, something I haven't felt in a long time from a workout. So go out there and try something new; get out of your routine and feel inspired again. For me, SPINCO is: amazing music, motivational (as hell!) instructors and cozy family vibes. Check them out!
Something else that helps me stay motivated to work out, is cute activewear. What better than a matching pink sport bra and leggings set?! It honestly makes me feel so good when I put together a cute spinning outfit. In these pictures, I'm wearing my friend Ana's Gymshark taupe set. It was soooo comfortable and it also made me look good (thank you super high waisted leggings!) Some activewear I've been dying over are the ones from Ultracor, Slip59, Strut This (who just did a sick collaboration with Sivan Ayla) and Onzie. By the way, Shopbop is still having their huge online sale, which is extended until the March 4th!
The last thing I would suggest you do to keep staying on track, is to find yourself a workout buddy and go to classes together. That way, no one can chicken out (unless both of you chicken out...) I've been working out with some of my gal pals like Ana and Sarah. I love planning which class to go to and work out together because it really motivates me to push myself! I also think it's a good excuse to see friends and make it a social thing (two birds, one stone right?)
Hope this encourages you guys to stay fit!
