What I packed in my carry-on for Paris and Italy

Bonjour from Paris guys! I wanted to share some tips on how to pack smarter for a 2 weeks vacation like the one I'm currently on with my bae. Since we are visiting so many different cities, we decided to only pack a carry-on for this trip (which I've NEVER done before).  I never thought it would be possible for me to fit everything exclusively into a carry-on, but I did it... although Air France saw me coming and had me check-in my carry-on for being 12kg overweight!!

Packing cubes

I have never packed using packing cubes before and after watching Desi Perkins' packing video, I was immediately convinced. I went ahead and purchased some packing cubes from Amazon and Tumi. Not only will they keep all your clothes in the same place, it's also so much more tidy and organized in your luggage.

Pouches

I'm obsessed with pouches. I use pouches for my toiletries, for my makeup, for my underwear, you name it! I spotted some adorable ones on Shopbop from the brand Bag-all, which has super cute labels on each pouch making it easy for you to spot them and organize your sh*t! Talking about organization, I also love this ToteSavvy tote organizer because it helps you stay on top of your game when going through security. It has pockets for everything!

Jewelry organizer

Do you ever wonder "how the f*ck am I supposed to pack all my jewelry without tangling every single necklace with each other?" Well, jewelry cases exist for this very reason and you can thank me later. I love these jewelry travel cases (which are genius) from Mejuri and Gift Boutique because they keep all your precious gold and silver in one place.

White tees

You can never ever go wrong with packing white tees. You don't even need to know if you'll wear them in a specific outfit because you inevitably will. I always pack at least 2 white tees when going on vacation. Some of my favorite ones are from Iro Paris and from Cotton Citizen.

Jeans

I love packing pretty dresses and trendy pieces while going on vacation but when you only have 1 carry-on with you... you try to pack as simple as you can. On this trip, I packed white and blue jeans for easy mix-and-match options with the other tops I have on hand. I also make sure to pack my most comfortable pair like these Agolde white jeans. You can't go wrong with a good ol' pair of blue Levis as well.

Sneakers

I'm the biggest shoeaholic but when it comes to trips, I try to keep it to a max of 3 pairs of shoes: sneakers, some kind of trendy shoe and heels for going out. Sneakers are your bestfriend because you will not last walking those 20,000 steps/day in cute strappy sandals. I love the dad shoe trend like these ones from Aldo and these Jeffrey Campbell ones.

Leather jacket

I always struggle when it comes to jackets because I have so many (the Montreal life you know) but I never know what the weather will be like so I tend to want to pack 12. This time around, I only packed a long cardigan and a classic leather jacket from Mackage. It's the most comfy leather jacket I've worn and also matches with every single outfit I brought.

I hope this was helpful if you're like me and tend to overpack. I'm really happy with what I packed so far and Vitto and I keep raving about the usefulness of packing cubes!
