I simply can't believe that August in coming to an end and that September is 2 days away. It simply does not make sense to me. As sad as I am that summer is almost over, I'm excited for what's next to come aka my favorite season of all: fall. I'm a huge autumn lover mainly for the fashion. I love layering and wearing cozy knits so it's the perfect season for me.
I'm sharing with you some of the upcoming fall trends for 2019 that I like and that I can see myself wearing over and over again.
Satin
It's no secret, satin is in. Like, really in. It's been worn all summer (satin skirts, satin tops, satin dresses... you name it!) and it's here to stay for the colder months. Everyone knows I've been wearing the same goddamn Dynamite satin skirt and I'm not mad about it! I'm so ready to transition satin and silk into the fall, mainly layering satin skirts and dresses with chunkier knits and turtlenecks.
Cami NYC absolutely nails satin clothes such as this gorgeous mustard colored cami and this bright orange dress, perfect for a fall wedding. Like I mentioned earlier, I'm a huge fan of satin skirts, especially this one from Dynamite and this one from Vince.
Tiny bags
I've been sporting the small bag trend since 2015 but they're getting smaller and smaller and I'm about it! You have all seen the iconic Jacquemus mini bag and probably wondered what even fits in there. Nothing much really. It's cute and very unpractical, but I'll keep buying tiny bags because I find them so adorable and the perfect accessory to any outfit.
Asymmetrical
Push the puffy sleeves and turtlenecks away, here come the asymmetrical necklines. I think this trend was a thing maybe 2-3 years ago, but it's been in nearly every single runway for this upcoming fall/winter season. I personally love this trend because it gives some interest to an outfit and it allows you to show off your shoulders! Once again, Dynamite does not disappoint; they've been killing the game recently and carry a few one-shoulder tops. Asymmetrical hems are also really in such as this cute dress from WAYF.
Suit up
Suits are life. I literally own about 10 blazers, and could keep buying more. I love a good suit on a girl, especially a double breasted one paired with a good wide leg pant. Two words: chic AF. I do believe in investing in a good blazer that will last you many years and Anine Bing makes some of the best blazers I've seen. I'm particularly eyeing this one! Blazers are also seen belted a lot for the upcoming season so a big chunky belt is something to invest in as well! I recently got this one from B-Low that I'll be wearing all the time!
Capes
This is the only trend that I'm not 100% certain about. I used to be obsessed with capes back in high school and college because I used to dress way more preppy. I don't know if I would wear these all the time and if these are here to last, but hey! Let's have fun with it! Zara makes some very chic, affordable capes like this one.
