It's been a hot sec since I've spoken to you guys on here and I've made it one of my 2020 resolutions to write more blog posts!
I'm starting the year off by sharing with you the biggest nail trends of 2020. I've noticed my nail art pictures are some of my most liked posts on IG so I figured you guys are as into it as I am! I've been doing nail art at L'Atelier, a beauty salon in Old Montreal, for over a year now and I don't think I'll ever go back to regular manis! I'm completely addicted. I spent a month with regular gel polish on my nails and felt so boring.
This month, I went back to my nail queen Stephanie at L'Atelier, and she created one of the most stunning designs on my (rather short) nails: clouds!!!
1. Clouds
My latest mani was probably one of my most saved one so far. It reminds me a lot of the Summer Fridays filter on IG. It was done on a nude/clear base and we added some glitter stars and suns randomly on each nail.
2. Smoky effect
I've been hardcore stalking these Russian accounts on IG because they do the BEST nail art. Periodt. Jokes aside, I keep seeing these smokey effect nails and they are probably going to be my next nail art design!
3. Minimal nails
I love this trend because it's a great way to get your foot into nail art without fully committing to a crazy design and its hefty price tag. Nail art is usually an add-on to a regular gel manicure, so by doing a minimal design, chances are it will cost less because it's simpler to achieve.
4. Nude nails
Nude nails may look like there's not much going on and one can argue that it's not really nail art. But nude nail art can easily vary from a gradient design to a french mani to different nail colors on each nail.
5. Abstract art
I started my nail art ''journey'' making Stephanie do a lot of abstract art for me. It wasn't her favorite type of design to do but she's gotten so damn good at it! It's definitely a design made to stay this season so get on it.
L'Atelier is a beauty salon located in the Old Port of Montreal on 387 rue Saint-Paul Ouest. They offer nail, hair and face/body services! You can call and book an appointment with my nail artist Stephanie at 514-504-8061
